Have you ever wondered what gospel Jesus preached? After all, if the gospel is centered around Jesus’ death and resurrection, what gospel was He preaching if He hadn’t died yet?
Matthew 4:23 says that Jesus went “proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom.” So, what is that? It’s the redemptive story of the cosmos—an epic tale with supernatural bad guys, angels, kings, giants, magic, conquest, love, and the Creator God’s secret plan kept hidden for millennia that leads to the ultimate plot twist.
I’m not spicing it up. It turns out that the true story of the gospel of Jesus Christ doesn’t need to be embellished. It only needs to be told.
